Lithuanian National Anthem singing at the Annunciation NY Chuch on July 5, 2020 at 10:45 AM

SUNDAY, JULY 5, 10:45 AM

Dear fellow Lithuanians,

This year, as it celebrates the 30th anniversary of the restoration of independence, Lithuania has proven itself to be a modern European nation with a global outlook and to be a reliable ally. We know that a nation’s success is dependent upon each of our individual efforts, so let us stand united as we face challenges and come together to celebrate the important events of our nation’s history.

You are therefore cordially invited by the following organizations:
Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in New York
Lithuanian-American Community, Inc. (New York City Chapter)
New York Annunciation parish
New York Lithuanian Professionals’ Club

To join us, together with your friends and families, on SUNDAY, JULY 5th (at 10:45 AM)
in singing the Lithuanian National Anthem immediately following the 10 AM Lithuanian Mass
at the Church of the Annunciation (259 North 5th Street, Brooklyn, New York, 11211).

Please remember to bring your Lithuanian flags and to wear patriotic clothing featuring the Lithuanian flag tricolor! Our singing of the national anthem will be filmed and sent to Lithuania as part of a project that will feature Lithuanian communities throughout the entire world. We will be representing New York Lithuanians as part of this project.

Your health is of utmost concern to us, so we urge everyone to strictly follow all of the required social distancing guidelines and we ask you to wear a face mask. If you feel the slightest symptoms of illness, or if any of your family members are ill, we ask that you protect yourself and others by not attending this event.

If you are unable to attend our event, we invite you to join four million Lithuanians worldwide on July 6 (at 2 PM EDT) and sing our national anthem, wherever you may be!
